This new place in foster city is dripping in authenticity and flavor. It’s tough to find food in the peninsula with a homemade touch and curated for vegetarians. This spot hit home - we are both Indian and tried their chole bature. It was phenomenal, better than Delhi waala chaat in the South Bay. The samosas were the best we’ve had in a restaurant outside of India. I really enjoyed the chai too. Delicious. Great work and happy this gem is available in the peninsula where good Indian food (especially vegetarian) is so hard to come by.

I had the pleasure of dining at this wonderful quaint South Indian vegetarian and vegan restaurant, and it was truly bursting with authentic flavours from South India. I had never experienced food like this before—you could really taste the freshness, care, and love that went into each dish. The presentation was beautiful, and the prices were very reasonable considering the effort and passion behind every plate. This restaurant is a true hidden gem, set in a peaceful and lovely location with easy parking. What made the experience even more special was the owner and host, Pallavi, who was incredibly warm, friendly, and genuinely hospitable. She shared the story behind this unique restaurant, which added a personal and memorable touch to our visit. I had never tasted food from this region of India before, making it a rare and exciting find. I will definitely be returning and highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for authentic South Indian vegetarian cuisine. A rare and unforgettable dining experience that I can’t wait to enjoy again.

A Bangalore restaurant in foster City ! Don't look elsewhere for masala puri ! This restaurant has a lot of options across rice and rotti varieties. We had akki rotti combo , masala puri and bisibele bath combo , gobi Manchurian and poori saagu. The owner is a kind lady and it was lovely getting to know her and learning about the restaurant.

Bengaluru Ootery is what nostalgia would feel like if it could sucker-punch you, not just through the recall of names and dishes, but through flavors that instantly take you back. They serve exceptional sagu, phenomenal bread pulao, akki rotti, kosambari, and majjige huli. These are dishes that aren’t standard fare and are pure Bengaluru in every sense. Every bite feels like a callback to the old-school food many of us grew up eating. The place is brand new and a bit overwhelmed by the response, but it’s absolutely worth checking out. The owner is deeply passionate about the food and about recreating classic Bengaluru dishes, minus the usual dosa and idli focus. The decor adds to the experience too, with an unmistakable old-school Bengaluru vibe. If you want to taste, relive, and fall in love with classic Bengaluru food, this place delivers.

An absolutely refreshing concept of offering authentic Tamil and kannada dishes versus the standard fare one may expect from South Indian crusine restaurants. Its a new small place and its climbed straight to the top of our go-to places for good home style authentic dishes

Absolutely incredible meal. Everything was so fresh and flavorful, and the owner personally came to our table to explain the menu and share recommendations. She suggested the sweet lassi and it was perfect: super fresh, not too sweet, and really refreshing. We ordered the gobi Manchurian, paneer butter masala, chole bhatura, samosas, and tandoori kulcha. Every dish was delicious, but the gobi Manchurian was the standout with amazing garlicky flavor. The samosas were also the freshest I’ve ever had with soft dough, zero greasiness, a tasty filling, and really flavorful chutneys. Wonderful food and warm hospitality. I can’t wait to return.

Wow this restaurant is just incredible! We tried to come here in person but they were a bit swamped with orders that day (understandably so!) so we ended up doing a DoorDash order. The food was phenomenal. It’s authentic Karnatakan Tamilian-ish vegetarian/vegan food and I feel like this is the first time I’ve experienced truly Indian level quality and authenticity outside India. It’s so fresh and healthy, has such a home cooked feel, isn’t heavy and is also packed with flavor. It felt like every dish was personally made with care and compassion. Just amazing! Please try the Kootu, Thondekayi Palya, Bisibele Bath, Ragi Roti, and the Gobi Manchurian! Can’t wait to come back in person and try the filter coffee and basundi!!
